4 animal prints to rock this fall and winter
Animal print is officially Fall 2019's biggest pattern trend yet. But this season it would seem that the fashion God's have decided to mix it up a bit.
Animal prints have been on trend for quite a while now, and after scouring the runways of Tom Ford, Gucci, Saint Laurent, and many more, it's clear that Fall 2019's most popular animal prints are zebra stripes, snakeskin, tiger stripes, and leopard spots. But while all of the above may spark memories of familiar styling from decades past or even last year, designers have created new ways to wear the prints that will have them feeling as fresh (and wild) as ever. See one of my favorite ways to spice up a print this season.
Mix It up a bit
While it has been said that the more prints the merrier is an acceptable look in some small (and more than likely unfashionable) circles, I definitely do not agree. You don't want to step outside looking like you are a walking zoo. To pull of the perfect mix-match print look, try and stick with a two colors minimum. You want to wear contrasting colors (black and white) with a contrasting print to really nail it, as shown below. This concept is pulled off beautifully by Stella (middle photo) in the asymmetrical zebra- and bovine-printed dresses from Versace’s recent Pre-Fall collection. The other two ensembles are a perfect example of WHAT NOT TO WEAR. Just don't.
